I’m not a scuba diver but I want to say that scuba masks with corrective lenses are a rarity. Never having done so I’m not completely sure about this next statement either but I’m going to go way out on a limb here and say that wearing glasses underneath the scuba mask is very nearly next to impossible. So how does a scuba diver with hideous vision go scuba diving safely?

Is This Water Murky Or Is It My Lousy Eyesight?

Seeing clearly under water while scuba diving is challenging enough as it is. The deeper you go the darker it gets; the more sand and muck you stir up the murkier it gets. Add to that less than perfect eyesight and you’ve got a recipe for an underwater disaster. Safety is a huge factor in scuba diving.
